Frequently asked questions

What size is a Belgium passport photo?

35 × 45 mm (1.38 × 1.77 in). The digital file we create is 413 × 531 px at 300 DPI, and the printable sheet keeps the exact physical size.

What background is required?

A plain, evenly lit white background with no shadows, patterns or objects. Turn on background replacement if your wall isn't suitable.

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?

No. Face detection and background removal run on your device. Only the AI models are downloaded, once, and then cached by your browser.

Where can I print the sheet?

Any photo kiosk or print shop that prints 4×6 in (10×15 cm) photos, or at home on photo paper. Print at 100% / actual size, not “fit to page”.

Will my photo be accepted?

We follow each authority's published size, head height and background rules, but the final decision is theirs. Use a sharp, recent photo with a neutral expression, both eyes open, no glasses glare and no shadows on your face or the background.

What does the dashed oval mean?

It's where your head should be: the top of your hair touches the upper line and your chin touches the lower line. Drag the photo and use Zoom until it fits.
