How to use the timer

Set hours, minutes and seconds, or tap a quick time.

Press Start. The time left shows in the tab title, so you can switch tabs.

When time's up, an alarm sounds (and a notification appears if you turned them on). Switch to Stopwatch to count up with laps.
Frequently asked questions
Does the timer keep running in another tab?
Yes. It's based on the clock, not on counting ticks, so it stays accurate even when the tab is in the background. Keep the tab open for the alarm to play.
Why didn't I hear the alarm?
Check that Sound is on and your device isn't muted. Browsers only allow sound after you've clicked the page, which pressing Start does.
Can I show it full screen for a class or meeting?
Yes. Press the full-screen button next to Reset; the numbers grow to fill the screen.
