How to combine PDF files into one, free and without software
Merge several PDFs into a single document in the right order, on any device, without installing anything or uploading your files.

Applications, reports and receipts often arrive as a pile of separate PDFs, when what you need is one tidy file. Combining them takes about a minute in your browser.
Merge PDFs in three steps
- Add your files. Drag them onto the page, use the file picker, or paste them. You can add files from your phone's Files app too.
- Put them in order. Drag the file cards, or use Sort A→Z if your files are numbered.
- Merge and download. You get a single PDF with every page, in the order you chose.
The merge runs on your device, so even confidential documents never leave it, and there's no limit on how many files you can combine beyond your device's memory.
Does merging lower the quality?
No. Pages are copied exactly as they are. Text stays selectable, images keep their resolution and links keep working. If the combined file is too large to email, compress it afterwards with Compress PDF.
Need more control over pages?
If you need to drop a page, rotate a scan or slot a page from one file into the middle of another, use Organize PDF after merging. It shows every page as a thumbnail you can drag, rotate or delete.
On iPhone and Android
The same steps work in Safari and Chrome on your phone:
- iPhone: tap Choose files, then Browse to pick PDFs from Files, iCloud Drive or downloads.
- Android: tap Choose files and select several PDFs at once from Downloads or Drive.
The merged PDF lands in your Downloads, ready to share.
Tips for a professional result
- Name files with numbers first (
01-cover.pdf,02-letter.pdf) so sorting puts them in order. - Put a cover page or table of contents first for long bundles.
- Check page orientation before merging; fix sideways scans with Rotate PDF.
